Manager Of Transmission Planning at Hunt Oil

Charles Aleman, P.E. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Charles is currently employed as the Manager of Transmission Planning at Hunt Energy since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at DNV as a Senior Power Systems Engineer from April 2022 to March 2023 and as a Power Systems Engineer from March 2021 to April 2022. In these roles, Charles focused on executing transmission planning studies, including steady state load flow and short circuit studies, on behalf of Utility Clients. Charles also conducted generation interconnection studies and annual transmission planning compliance studies.

Before joining DNV, Charles worked at Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. where they held various positions. From January 2018 to February 2021, they served as a Power Delivery Engineer, developing transmission models for SPP and ERCOT and analyzing electrical systems. Prior to this, they were an Electrical Engineer from January 2015 to January 2018, assisting in the planning and implementation of capital projects and conducting system analysis. Initially, Charles started as a Summer Engineering Intern from June 2014 to December 2014, contributing to the installation and modification of power distribution networks.

Charles also gained customer service experience at Sherwin-Williams Paints, where they worked as a Sales Associate from August 2011 to September 2014, and from July 2010 to June 2011. In these roles, they assisted with paint orders, maintained store cleanliness, and delivered to job sites. Earlier in their career, Charles worked as a Sandwich Maker at Jason's Deli from June 2006 to June 2009, preparing food, bussing tables, and washing dishes.

Charles Aleman, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Texas Tech University, which they attended from 2011 to 2014. Prior to their enrollment at Texas Tech University, Aleman pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at Midland College, where they studied from 2010 to 2011. In addition to their educational background, they have obtained several certifications including a Professional Engineer (PE) designation from the Texas Society of Professional Engineers in August 2022 and an Amateur Radio License-Technician from the USA Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in October 2012.
