Joe Whitehead serves as the Logistics Chief for the Walker County Office of Emergency Management and Battalion Chief of the Walker County CERT, specializing in logistics, emergency management, and firefighting. With a long tenure at Huntsville Independent School District since August 1998, Joe teaches various subjects including computer A+ certification and robotics, while also acting as an Assistant for Emergency Operations since January 2016. Engagements with Woodlands Church as a First Responder focus on providing emergency services on campus. Prior advocacy with Special Education Advocacy and Consulting involved supporting the rights of special needs children in educational settings. Joe previously held the position of Assistant Chief at Pine Prairie Volunteer Fire, overseeing daily operations and training. Educational qualifications include degrees in Educational/Instructional Technology, Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on integrating technology, and Principal certification.
