Casey Broom

Casey Broom has extensive experience in medical coding, beginning as a Medical Coder at Sparrow Health System from 2006 to 2007, where coding for inpatient admissions was performed using CPT and ICD-9. Following this, Casey worked at Memorial Healthcare from 2007 to May 2010, focusing on inpatient encounters and concurrent inpatient coding with ICD-9 and CPT. Since May 2010, Casey has been employed at Hurley Medical Center as a Medical Coder, coding emergency room visits, observation visits, and, previously, inpatient visits using CPT and ICD-10. In this role, charging for injections and infusions, as well as coding radiology encounters, are additional responsibilities. Casey holds an Associate's degree in Health Information/Medical Records Technology from Davenport University, earned between 2004 and 2006.
