Riya Achuri

Riya Achuri is an experienced professional currently working as a Research Assistant in the Biology Department at the University of Michigan-Flint under Dr. You-shin Chen since June 2021. Riya also serves as a Digital Marketing Intern at the Touch-A-Life Foundation, focusing on empowering Michigan youth through philanthropy and social advocacy since November 2021. In addition, Riya works as a Medical Assistant at Hurley Medical Center, assisting with patient care and administrative tasks since June 2022. Riya has tutoring experience with Kumon North America, Inc., specializing in reading comprehension, English skills, and mathematics since September 2020. Furthermore, Riya has shared personal insights as a Public Speaker at TEDx Youth @ Southlake in December 2021, promoting meditation and mindfulness. Riya completed a high school diploma from Grand Blanc Community Schools in June 2023 and participated in dual enrollment courses at the University of Michigan-Flint from September 2021 to April 2023.
