Jessica Peña

Jessica Peña has had a varied career in the education and technology sectors. Jessica began their career in 2014 as a Corps Member with Teach For America. Jessica then worked as a 9th and 10th Grade History Teacher at Claremont International High School from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, they moved to Public Preparatory Network where they worked as a 6th Grade History Teacher. In 2018, they joined Code Nation as a Program Manager, and then in 2021 they joined Hustle as a Client Success Manager, eventually becoming a Senior Client Success Manager. In their role at Code Nation, they managed up to four school-based coding programs in schools and professional workplaces, and coached and supported volunteers with pedagogy and teaching strategies, as well as assisting volunteer teams in creating assignments, teaching materials, and assessments.

Jessica Peña obtained a Bachelor of Arts - BA in History from Pomona College between 2010 and 2014. Jessica then went on to earn a Master of Science - MS in Secondary Education and Teaching from Fordham University between 2014 and 2016. In 2021, they received a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
