Esmeralda "Yaya" Rendon, MPS, SPHR has extensive work experience in various roles related to human resources. Esmeralda "Yaya" started their career as a Human Resources Manager at the US Army, where they demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, earning promotions and recognition for their performance. Esmeralda "Yaya" then served as the Deputy Secretary of the General Staff and later as the Assistant HR Officer in the US Army Reserve. Following their military service, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at Jordan/Central Implement Co., where they provided guidance on employment laws and developed the company's compensation philosophy. Esmeralda "Yaya" also worked as a Mission Support Specialist at the US Border Patrol, overseeing property control, payroll processing, and travel management. In 2015, they joined Hutchinson and Bloodgood LLP as the Human Resources Manager, where they implemented the first-ever HR Management System and served as a trusted advisor to the partner group. Esmeralda "Yaya" currently holds the position of Human Resources Director at the same company. Additionally, Esmeralda is the owner, choreographer, and dance teacher at Top Hat Dance Studio, where they aim to provide students with a unique and joyful dance experience. Esmeralda "Yaya" Rendon, MPS, SPHR completed their Bachelor's Degree in English Literature & Chicano Studies at UC Santa Barbara from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Calexico High School from 1996 to 1998. Yaya then pursued a Masters in MPS in Human Resources and Employment Relations at Penn State University from 2009 to 2012. Esmeralda "Yaya" later went on to Abilene Christian University, where they studied Organizational Leadership starting in 2020. In addition to their education, Yaya obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in March 2017.
