Katharine Kent

Katharine Kent, a 1995 Hutchison graduate, serves as the Lower School Head. She previously served as a second-grade teacher in lower school. She has over 19 years of teaching experience, nine of those at Hutchison. Previous to Hutchison, she taught at St. George’s Independent School and Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in mathematics and French, and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction, both from the University of Mississippi. She also spent a semester at the American Institute for Foreign Study in Paris, France.
