Alfredo Ramos Plasencia

Alfredo Ramos Plasencia has a diverse and extensive work experience. Alfredo is currently serving as the Investment Director at High Value Manufacturing Catapult. Previously, they held the role of Governor at Teesside University. Alfredo also served as the Chief Executive Officer at Medallion Resources Ltd. from October 2022 to August 2023.

At CPI, Alfredo had multiple roles, including HVMC Interim Investment Director, Managing Director of CPI Enterprises, GM Information Technologies & Digital Services, and Healthcare Director. During their tenure, they oversaw significant growth, expanding the company from 230 employees to over 700 and tripling the revenue to over £80 million.

Alfredo also worked as a Non-Executive Director at PolyPhotonix, where they contributed to the development of non-invasive photonic-based medical devices. In their earlier career, they held various positions at Process Systems Enterprise (PSE), including Vice President of Strategic Business Development and Vice President of Power & CCS Business Unit.

Prior to joining PSE, Alfredo worked at EMMASA as a Production Manager and at RWTH Aachen as a Research Fellow.

Alfredo Ramos Plasencia completed their Abitur at Deutsche Schule/Colegio Alemán Santa Cruz de Tenerife from 1986 to 1994. Alfredo then pursued a degree in (Bio-) Chemical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University from 1994 to 2000. Later, from 2014 to 2016, Alfredo attended London Business School to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategy and Corporate Finance.
