Peter Campbell

Peter has over 30 years’ experience as a litigator having conducted proceedings throughout Australia and overseas. He is a qualified mediator. He has developed a national reputation in the areas of Media and Communications Law, Intellectual Property, Competition and Consumer Law and Privacy.

Peter acts for many of the major mainstream and digital media networks on pre and post publication defamation and contempt issues as well as a range of advertising, entertainment, sports and new media organisations. He advises extensively on the protection and enforcement of IP rights and has substantial experience in handling infringement and opposition proceedings and negotiating technology transfer and commercialisation deals. Peter provides advice and assistance in the full range of matters under the Competition and Consumer Act and other competition and consumer legislation, including ACCC proceedings as well as authorisations, notifications and merger clearances. He also has significant experience in managing regulatory investigations and prosecutions.
