John Kimball

John Kimball is a seasoned engineer and program manager with extensive experience in system engineering and renewable energy technologies. Currently serving as a System Engineer at HX5, LLC since February 2021, Kimball previously contributed to the development of next-generation nuclear reactors at X Energy, LLC from June 2019 to June 2023. Prior roles include Senior Program Manager at the National Center for Defense Manufacturing & Machining, where responsibilities included DoD program management for missile systems, and Engineering Manager at REHAU, overseeing product modernization in the radiant heating sector. With a background in advanced manufacturing at the Department of Energy and expertise in product management and engineering from REHAU, Kimball holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology, earned between 1977 and 1982.
