Sequoia Andrade

Sequoia Andrade is a dedicated researcher currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley since April 2024. As a Graduate Student Researcher at the same institution, Sequoia has been contributing to significant academic projects. Experience also includes serving as a Research Engineer II at HX5, LLC, where involvement in the Manager for Intelligent Knowledge Access (MIKA) project and the Open Data Integration (ODIN) project for wildland fire response was achieved during tenure at NASA. A previous internship at NASA Ames Research Center involved mathematical modeling and analysis of resilience in complex systems, with a focus on wildfire propagation and technology impact. Sequoia's earlier roles included roles as an Academic Consultant at Cardinal Education and an Administrative Assistant at Health Reach Consulting, along with supervisory experience at Starbucks. Sequoia holds a Master's degree in Statistical Data Science from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Santa Clara University.
