Melissa Brown

Melissa Brown has worked in various roles since 2003. Melissa began their career as a First Grade Teacher at Perris Elementary School, where they implemented reading and writing workshops to increase student literacy and supported school reading programs. Melissa also collaborated with a team of faculty to develop an after-school tutorial program for underachieving students, and served on the Retention, Disaster Preparedness, and Red Ribbon Committees. In 2005, they moved to the Dysart Unified School District, where they worked as a Third/Fourth Grade Teacher. In this role, they analyzed formative and summative assessment data to differentiate instruction and plan for small group interventions. Melissa also collaborated with the third and fourth grade Professional Learning Communities to design, plan, and analyze best practices for reading and mathematics instruction aligned to state standards. In 2016, Melissa joined HybridChart Inc. as the Director of Operations and Director of Marketing.

Melissa Brown obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara between 1996 and 2000. Melissa also holds an Arizona Elementary (K-8) Teaching Certificate with Full English as a Second Language and Early Childhood Endorsements, as well as a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with Cross-Cultural, Language, and Academic Development Emphasis.
