Melanie Shaver currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for the Hyde County School District, a position held since July 2022. Prior experience includes roles as an Administrator and Secondary Instructional Coach for McDowell County Schools from 2008 to July 2022, focusing on professional development and resource support, as well as teaching 8th grade science, Earth/Environmental Science, and Biology. Melanie has also contributed as an Environmental Educator with Eco Van, implementing environmental programs for elementary classrooms.
