David Walker

David Walker is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Manager of Wholesale and Commercial Strategy at Hydro Tasmania since July 2021. Prior to this role, David held various positions at EnergyAustralia, including Net Promoter System Leader, Digital Services Leader, Executive Business Lead in the Office of the Managing Director, Senior Analyst in Corporate Strategy, and Strategy Development Manager. David's earlier career included a consultancy role at Origin Energy and experience as a consultant at Strategic Project Partners Pty Ltd, along with a Group Strategy Internship at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group. David began a career in analysis with Manderson Management & Financial Consulting. David holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Melbourne Business School, and both a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Melbourne. Early education was completed at Friends from 1985 to 1998.
