Naomi Martin

Naomi Martin, B.A. J.D. LL.M. has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on energy and commercial law. Naomi has worked at Hydro One Networks Inc., starting as a Contract Administration employee in the Non-Utility Generation Division, and then progressing to roles such as Solicitor for Ontario Hydro Legal Affairs, Legal Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel, and currently, Principal Legal Counsel. In their current position, Naomi is an expert in electricity regulatory compliance, particularly with the Ontario Energy Board and Canada Energy Regulator. Naomi is also well-versed in aboriginal land matters, access and privacy law, and provides legal advice on compliance with PIPEDA. Naomi is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and adapt to new challenges. Prior to their work at Hydro One, they were an Articling Student at Ontario Hydro.

Naomi Martin, B.A. J.D. LL.M., started their education at Mount Saint Vincent University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from 1987 to 1991. Naomi then pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at the University of Windsor from 1991 to 1994. Following this, Naomi attended York University - Osgoode Hall Law School from 1997 to 2000, completing a LL.M. degree in Banking and Financial Services. Additionally, they were called to the Ontario Bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada (now Law Society of Ontario) in 1996.
