Orin Pereira

Orin Pereira, P.Eng., MBA, M.Eng. has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Senior Manager for Growth in Corporate Development at Hydro One, where expertise includes developing behind-the-meter energy solutions like battery energy storage systems (BESS) and microgrids. In previous roles, Orin effectively managed facilities and real estate operations, leading a multidisciplinary team responsible for over 1,400 buildings across Ontario and overseeing a significant operating budget. With a strong background in auditing, maintenance engineering, and project management, Orin has consistently enhanced operational performance and executed strategic initiatives. Currently, also functioning as the Business Development, Project Delivery, and Operations Lead at AUX Energy, Orin is pursuing an Executive MBA at Smith School of Business while holding advanced degrees in Electric Power and Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and McMaster University, respectively.
