Pierre Chabot

Pierre Chabot is a highly experienced legal professional with a focus on the energy sector, currently serving as Senior Lawyer in the legal team at Hydro-Québec since September 2001. Chabot's expertise includes regulatory legal activities in electricity transmission and distribution, as well as representation before various tribunals. Additional roles have encompassed contract management, commercial negotiations, and corporate law. Pierre Chabot has also contributed to the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada as a Board member and chairperson of the ADR Services Committee since September 2021. From 2007 to 2012, Chabot served as Lawyer and General Secretary for the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership, and from 1991 to 2001, worked as a litigation lawyer in the private sector. Chabot's education includes a law degree from Université de Montréal, a graduate diploma in taxation from HEC Montréal, and ongoing involvement with the Barreau du Québec. Chabot has also held various leadership positions within professional committees related to tennis and tax legislation.
