Alexandre Barros

Alexandre Barros is the current CEO and Business Development manager at Hydrumedical. Alexandre has worked for the company for almost a decade, starting as a researcher and moving up the ranks to their current position. Prior to working at Hydrumedical, Alexandre worked at 3B's Research Group where they focused on developing and engineering medical devices for urology and gastroenterology. Alexandre has a PhD in Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, and Stem Cells from the University of Minho. Alexandre has also won several awards for their work, including the Novo Banco Innovation Award in 2015.

Alexandre Barros has an Executive MBA from WU Executive Academy, and a PhD in Medical Devices from University of California, Berkeley. Alexandre also has a Master's in Properties and Technology of Polymers from Universidade do Minho, and a BSc in Biotechnology from Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo.
