David McAllansmith

David McAllansmith has a diverse and extensive work history spanning over several industries. David most recently served as the Group CFO for Hynds Limited, a leading water infrastructure solutions provider. In this role, they worked closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure optimal financial performance through the implementation of business strategies and effective cost management.

Prior to their role at Hynds Limited, David held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Tomizone Limited, where they played a key role in developing and operating a cloud-based software solution that provided consumer WiFi access and location-based services.

David also gained experience in the food and beverage industry, working as the Commercial Finance Manager and later as the Commercial Manager - Sales & Marketing at Fonterra, as well as serving as the National Finance & IS Manager at Fosters Group.

Additionally, they have worked as a Business Consultant and Business Development and Planning Manager, providing consulting services to the public and private sector. David also held positions as Group Financial Controller and Head of Finance at Propertyfinder / Assertahome Group and as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Jiway.

Earlier in their career, David served as the Business Manager for Euro IB & Risk Management Services at Bankers Trust / Deutsche Bank and as the Group Manager Financial Analysis at Lion Nathan Limited.

Throughout their various roles, David has demonstrated expertise in financial management, business strategy development, and commercial decision-making.

David McAllansmith completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Finance and Commercial Law from The University of Auckland. David attended the university from 1989 to 1991.
