Dr. Lakesha Roney

Dr. Lakesha Roney is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in clinical supervision, counseling, and consulting services. Since October 2019, Dr. Roney has served as Clinical Supervisor at HYPE Counseling Services while also owning and operating Inner Self Counseling and Consulting LLC since December 2007, providing outpatient counseling for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Previous roles include Mental Health Clinical Coordinator at Health Brigade from February 2017 to October 2019, Clinical Director and Co-owner of Outpatient Services at Life Services Inc. from April 2014 to March 2017, and Director of the University Counseling Center at Virginia State University from May 2011 to April 2014. Dr. Roney holds a Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Virginia State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia State University.
