Daniel Butnariu

Learning Designer & Facilitator at Hyper Island

Daniel Butnariu is a Program Manager for Digital Creative at Hyper Island. Prior to this, they worked as a Translator for Amnesty International Sweden, a Teacher at Konradsbergsskolan, and a Project Manager at Tollare Folkhögskola.

Daniel has always been interested in using their skills to help others. This led him to work with Amnesty International Sweden, where they worked as a translator for a project involving the Roma homeless people in Sweden. Daniel then went on to work as a teacher for students with special needs that required him to work one-on-one. Through their dedication and hard work, they were able to have the students come everyday to school and reach tailored educational goals.

Most recently, Daniel worked as a Project Manager at Tollare Folkhögskola. There they created and implemented educational tools adapted to the needs of underprivileged adult students that are begging in central Stockholm. Daniel also created follow-up indicators on an individual basis and planned, implemented, monitored, and assessed a classroom instructional program consistent with the needs of the participants.

Daniel is passionate about using literacy as an integration mean in the Swedish society and showing the participants another perspective of the Swedish culture. Daniel is excited to continue their work in this area as a Program Manager for Digital Creative at Hyper Island.

Daniel Butnariu's educational career began with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Telecommunications from Blekinge Institute of Technology. Afterward, they transitioned into the field of Mobile Design & Development with Hyper Island.

They are on a team with Miranda Bachelder - Director of Support Services, Anna Strandberg - Operations Coordinator, and Soo Min Hong - Learning Partner & Project Manager. Daniel Butnariu reports to Helena Ekman, CEO.
