Donald Hicks

Donald Hicks has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Donald began their career as a Unity Programmer at Hyper Luminal Games in October 2016. Donald then progressed to the role of Senior Programmer in January 2018 and became the Lead Programmer in May 2019. Donald served as the Technical Lead from January 2022 to January 2023, and they are currently working as the Head of Technology at Hyper Luminal Games.

Prior to their time at Hyper Luminal Games, Donald co-founded Future Fossil Studios Ltd. in November 2012. At Future Fossil Studios, they worked as a Programmer and as a Director. In addition to developing various projects and releasing eight titles, Donald also gained valuable business experience, managing projects, finance, and legal undertakings. Donald worked at Future Fossil Studios until October 2016 before joining Hyper Luminal Games.

Donald Hicks completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Games Technology at Abertay University from 2007 to 2011. Donald then pursued further education, earning a Professional Masters in Games Development (MProf) from Abertay University from 2011 to 2012. During both degrees, their field of study focused on Games Development and Programming.
