Riaz Moola

Founder & CEO at HyperionDev

Riaz Moola is the founder and CEO of HyperionDev. Riaz was previously the Chief Technical Adviser at Injini, Africa's first edtech incubator, and an Associate Product Manager Intern at Google. Riaz has also worked as a Technology Analyst & Developer at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and as a Research Student at the University of Oxford. Riaz is a passionate advocate for using technology to improve education and has been recognised as a Top Young ICT Entrepreneur in Africa by the African Union Commission.

Riaz Moola holds a BS in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh, as well as an MPhil in Technology Policy and another in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Cambridge. Riaz has also completed a Computational Biology Summer School at the University of Oxford. Riaz has undertaken undergraduate exchanges in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as Computer Science at Keele University. Their BS in Computer Science and Mathematics is from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Riaz has also achieved a National Senior Certificate, with a focus on English, Afrikaans, Maths, Biology, Physics, IT, LO, Maths, from Eden College Durban/Crawford College Durban.
