Louise Chan

Louise Chan has extensive work experience in finance and banking. Louise'smost recent role was as Chief Operating Officer at HyperJar starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Ebury as Chief Operating Officer from 2021 to 2023. Before that, they held various senior roles at HSBC from 2016 to 2021, including Global Head of Digital Payments & Mobile Market Engagement, Head of Innovation Delivery and Capability Development, and Global Head of Mobile Payments. Previous roles also include Director Pingit International at Barclays from 2013 to 2016 and Head of Commercial Management at Barclaycard from 2011 to 2013. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Marketing Operations Manager at Goldfish, a Financial Services Consultant at Acxiom and Claritas, and a Programme Manager at HBOS.

Louise Chan attended Greenock Academy from 1984 to 1989 but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Louise then pursued a BA Hons in Accounting and Computing at Heriot-Watt University from 1989 to 1993. From 1993 to 1996, Louise attended NEWI where they pursued the topic of strategic success factors of small to medium sized enterprises but did not obtain a degree. In 2015, they obtained a Certificate in International Cash Management from the Association of Corporate Treasurers and in 2022, they obtained a CertBALM from the UK Asset and Liability Management Association Limited.
