Willem Hersbach

Willem Hersbach has a diverse work experience spanning over various industries and roles. Willem started their career as an intern at Theolia France in 2005 and later worked as an IT Consultant and City Coordinator at Studentenwintersport from 2001 to 2007. Willem then joined Diamondhead as the owner from 2005 to 2011.

In 2008, they joined Regiecentrale as a Business Systems Analyst, where they developed and launched a SaaS product for traffic analytics and managed various projects. Willem went on to become the IT Department Manager, where they established and managed an IT department and introduced agile product development methodologies. After that, they took on the role of Product Manager, leading the development of a payment system and managing licensing processes.

In 2015, Hersbach joined EasyMarkit as a Product Manager, responsible for gathering requirements, defining product strategy, and managing projects. During their time at EasyMarkit, they introduced Scrum methodologies and improved collaboration among development teams.

Since 2016, Hersbach has been working at Hyperwallet, initially as a Senior Business Analyst and currently as the Director of Product Management. Willem led a complete Pay Portal UI overhaul and introduced Webhooks to improve system integration and functionality.

Willem Hersbach completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Twente in 2007. Willem pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, they took a course in "Español para extranjeros" at Universidad EAFIT in Bogotá, Colombia in 2013.
