Terrence Sarmiento has a range of work experience in various industries. In 2015, they worked as a Food Server/Kitchen Helper at Point Point Joint Restaurant. From 2016 to 2020, Terrence worked at Cal State LA College of ECST, taking on roles such as Math Workshop (ENGR 1540) Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader, Bridge Student Assistant, and Summer Transition to ECST Program (STEP) SI Leader. In 2018, they joined HyperX as a Product Tester. In 2019, Terrence worked as an Electronic Tools Engineer Intern at Cummins Inc. In 2020, they worked as a Delivery Driver for both Postmates by Uber and DoorDash. Currently, since November 2021, Terrence is an Electrical Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding, A Division of Huntington Ingalls Industries.

Terrence Sarmiento completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at California State University, Los Angeles from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their degree, they acquired several certifications. In May 2021, Terrence obtained the "Order of the Engineer" certification from Cal State LA College of ECST. Terrence completed the "MATLAB Onramp" certification from MathWorks in October 2019. Furthermore, they acquired the "C# Essential Training: 1 Syntax and Object Oriented Programming" certification from LinkedIn in June 2019, and the "Electronics Foundations: Fundamentals" certification also from LinkedIn in April 2019.
