Angela Mak

Angela Mak, CPA, has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of accounting and finance.

Angela is currently working as the Corporate Controller at Hyphen since January 2023. Prior to that, they were a Partner at AWM Ventures Consulting from an unspecified start date until their current role in 2021. Angela also worked as a Controller at Home Care Assistance in 2021.

From 2018 to 2021, Angela held the position of Director of Accounting at Teladoc Health. Before that, they worked as the Head of Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting at Pure Storage in 2017 and as the Director of Technical Accounting at NeoPhotonics from 2014 to 2017.

Angela's earlier career includes roles at Gigamon as Senior Manager, SEC & SOX/Compliance from 2012 to 2014, where they played a crucial role in establishing policies and controls for the company's IPO and subsequent offerings. Between 2005 and 2012, they worked in various positions at Juniper Networks, including Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A.

Angela started their career as a Senior Analyst at Sun Microsystems from 2003 to 2005, providing technical accounting support and managing the consolidation of global subsidiaries. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Analyst at Celerity from 2001 to 2003, leading pre-IPO external financial statements reporting and providing guidance on technical accounting topics.

Angela has a strong track record of success, including reducing SEC comments on filings and implementing strategies for automation and streamlining. Angela Mak, CPA pursued their education from 1992 to 1995 at the Wisconsin School of Business. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, specializing in Finance and Accounting.
