Magdalena Papaioannou

Magdalena Papaioannou is an accomplished photographer and associate photo editor currently working at Washingtonian Magazine, where responsibilities include producing a diverse range of photographic assignments, executing extensive photo research, managing image metadata, and collaborating with design teams. In addition to this role, Magdalena owns Magdalena Photography, specializing in lifestyle, product, and portrait photography with a focus on social media marketing. As a house photographer for both the 9:30 Club and I.M.P., high-quality images of live performances are created to enhance branding efforts. Magdalena's experience includes roles at Compass as a photographer for real estate branding, social media marketing coordination at Cerrone Photography, and contributing photography for Shutterstock Custom, among others. Magdalena holds a Bachelor of Science in Photography along with double minors in Art History and The Fine Arts from Drexel University.
