Alex Martinez

Lead Software Engineer, Apple Clients at i-PRO Americas Inc.

Alex Martinez has a diverse work experience spanning many years. Alex started their career in 1995 as a Developer at Kaetron Software, where they worked on the development of a commercial flow-charting tool called Topdown. Alex was responsible for various aspects of the application, including memory management, saving and loading, printing, and OLE implementation.

After that, Alex worked as a Software Engineer at E Stamp Corp, where they contributed to the development of an electronic postage system. Alex worked on user interface features and printing functionalities. Alex also participated in a customer usability study to improve the UI.

Alex then joined eCommLink as a Software Engineer, where they worked on an online banking solution. Alex developed an application that allowed bank customers to view their balances and transaction history.

In 1999, Alex became a Lead Software Engineer at Kara Technologies. Alex worked on a 2D barcode-based encryption solution framework that could be used for various applications such as online postage and tickets. Alex took the lead in developing the back-end side of the application.

From 2000 to 2002, Alex worked as a Senior Software Engineer at NetIQ. Alex worked on a thread management platform for the Security Manager product, allowing developers to write COM objects.

Alex then transitioned to the real estate industry and joined Martinez Realty Group as a Realtor. During their tenure, they closed over 300 transactions in the Houston area and received awards from various organizations.

In 2010, Alex started their own business, Saffron Byte, where they served as the owner and developer. Alex developed a client management application for iOS.

Most recently, Alex worked at Panasonic Security Solutions as a Lead Software Engineer for Apple clients. Alex developed VI Mobile 2, an iOS application that allows users to view live and recorded video from security cameras.

Alex Martinez attended the University of Houston from 1989 to 1994, where they obtained a BS degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
