Thomas Swerdzewski, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Thomas began their career as an HR Assistant at DHS/Transportation Security Administration Recruitment Center in 2004. Thomas then worked as a Human Resources Support Specialist, primarily resolving issues related to application processing and implementing new hiring processes. From 2006 to 2008, Thomas was a Supervisor at the TSA Airport Recruitment Center Help Desk, managing a team and compiling reports on recruitment activity. Thomas then became the Deputy Program Manager for the DHS HQ Talentlink Program, overseeing projects, providing guidance to HRMS staff, and updating instructional materials. In 2010, Thomas joined FPMI Solutions as the Chief of Shared Services and Quality Assurance Officer, and later became the Chief of Shared Services/Quality Assurance Officer. In these roles, they managed corporate shared service operations, handled client relationship management and business development, and managed multiple projects. In 2014, they joined IT Concepts, Inc as the Director of Operations/Human Resources and then became the Vice President of Human Resources. In their current role as the Chief of Staff and former Chief Operating Officer, Thomas is responsible for ensuring alignment of the company's leadership team, providing strategic input, and managing administrative, financial, and operational activities.
Thomas Swerdzewski SHRM-SCP holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from Metropolitan State University of Denver. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications, including Lean Six Sigma from Acuity Institute in July 2012, SHRM-CP from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in May 2016, and SHRM-SCP, also from SHRM, in February 2021.
