Maycko MacApugas

Maycko Macapugas serves as the President of IABC/BC, providing strategic support to the chapter president and Board of Directors since July 2021. In tandem, Maycko holds the position of Communications Officer at BC Children's Hospital and is the founder of Foliage Filipino, a project focused on enhancing Filipinx and BIPOC communities through media and communications. Maycko's previous roles include Manager of Communications and Engagement at SFU's Charles Chang Institute for Entrepreneurship, as well as Engagement, Events and Special Projects Lead at SFU's Coast Capital Venture Connection, where significant initiatives to promote entrepreneurship were developed. Additionally, Maycko has gained experience in talent optimization and content creation through various roles, including talent consultant at Synergy Management Consulting and copywriter at Digital Hospitality Internet Marketing. Maycko earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Honours in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University.
