Lutfur Khundkar

Lutfur Khundkar has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Lutfur started their career in 1990 as an Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry at Northeastern University, where they led a research team and published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

In 1998, Khundkar joined MEDITECH as a Programmer Development, where they designed and implemented a prototype platform for Meditech Advanced Technology. Their work became the core of R&D for a new platform deployed by Meditech since 2005.

Khundkar then moved to Iatric Systems in 2003, where they held multiple roles over the years. As a Team Leader/Architect/Specialist Meditech Technology, they designed and implemented a framework for extraction and analysis of Meditech Electronic Medical Record data for meaningful use (MU) Quality Measures. Lutfur also enabled the on-time delivery and implementation of CMS (Medicare) Clinical Quality Measures (CQM) at 80+ US hospitals. Additionally, Khundkar designed and implemented internal tools for source code version control for Magic-based products in Python.

During their time at Iatric Systems, Khundkar also worked as a Developer and Software Architect for the Enterprise Software Team. In this role, they designed and implemented solutions for streamlining workflow for diverse hospital roles, which generated over $5 million in new revenue.

Lutfur Khundkar completed their education in a sequential manner. Lutfur first obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Pomona College, which they attended from 1978 to 1982. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Physics from Caltech, where they studied from 1982 to 1988. Continuing their educational journey, they then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University, attending from 1998 to 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Lutfur Khundkar has also obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. In June 2018, they completed the Deep Learning Specialization program offered by Coursera. In the same month, they also achieved the NLP Nanodegree from Udacity. Prior to that, in April 2018, they successfully completed the Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree program from Udacity. Additionally, they obtained the Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity in October 2017.
