Ricardo Martins

Ricardo Martins has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Ricardo currently holds the position of VP Global Sales Messaging at iBASIS since July 2020. Prior to this role, they worked at NOS SGPS from 2013 to 2020, starting as Head of Voice Sales & MVNOs and later becoming Head of Voice & Messaging Sales. Before their time at NOS SGPS, they held various positions at Optimus, including Head of Voice Sales & MVNOs and Head of Voice Sales. Additionally, Ricardo has experience working at GSMA in behalf of Optimus Portugal as Vice Chair of the Interconnection Working Group. Beginning their career at Sonaecom, they served as Voice Sales Manager and later as Account Manager & Business Development, focusing on Voice Mobile Products. Ricardo's earliest work experience dates back to 1999 at Optimus as the International Interconnect Manager.

Ricardo Martins earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Lisbon, which they attended from 1995 to 1999. In 1998, they also participated in an Erasmus program at the Universitá La Sapienza at Facultá Economia in Rome, Italy, where they continued their studies in Economics.
