Alvaro Sol

Alvaro Sol has held a variety of positions in the insurance and finance industries since 2011. Alvaro began their career as an Account Executive for Howden - Specialist Insurance Brokers, where they managed various corporate insurance products. In 2014, they became the Executive Director of Risk Consulting Group and Partner of Marvel Reinsurance Consultants, a platform used by independent reinsurance consultants to trade with regulated entities and deliver best solutions to their clients. Alvaro also joined Sol Sterling & Partners as a Partner, allocating LATAM capital to new age investments. In 2015, they became a Member of the Board of Advisors for Covestone Corporation, the most advanced replacement to legacy supply chain management and enterprise resource planning software on the market. In 2017, they joined the Board of the Entrepreneurs' Organization. In 2019, they co-founded Finblok Technology and in 2020 they became Senior Partner Central America for Koibanx. Alvaro currently holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer / Partner at IBEX Mercado.

Alvaro Sol attended Babson College from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a degree in Business Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship. In 2010, they attended Singapore Management University for Business Administration and Management, General. In 2017, they attended Wharton Executive Education. In addition to their formal education, Alvaro has obtained two certifications: PowerMBA from ThePowerMBA in September 2020, and AIRM - ALARYS International Risk Management from Fundacion Latinoamericana de Administracion de Riesgos ALARYS in August 2015.
