Matthew Lange, PhD, serves as Chief Executive Officer at IC-FOODS, guiding non-profit initiatives to develop infrastructure for the emerging Internet of Food. Concurrently, Matthew operates at ICICLE focusing on Smart Foodsheds, Digital Agriculture, and Conservation/Ecology to democratize artificial intelligence in various domains. Previous experience includes roles as a Professional Research Scientist and Lecturer at the University of California, Davis, where Matthew contributed to designing the Internet of Food, led knowledge engineering initiatives, and taught food product innovation and health informatics courses. Matthew also held the CEO position at Infosoph, managed IT projects at the FDA, and held significant leadership roles at Tyco. Matthew earned a PhD in Food Science and Technology with an emphasis on Health Informatics from the University of California, Davis, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Community Nutrition & International Economic Development from the same institution.
