Catherine Adeya

Catherine Adeya, PhD, is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in governance, research, and consultancy across various sectors. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at ICANN and a Non-Executive Director at Old Mutual Kenya and Standard Chartered Bank, Catherine also chairs multiple committees within Standard Chartered Bank. Previous roles include Director of Research at the World Wide Web Foundation and Senior Consultant at Strathmore University, where key contributions included establishing the East Africa Centre for Internet Governance and Policy Research. As a Non-Executive Chairperson for KENAS, Catherine played a vital role in enhancing Kenya's accreditation initiatives. In addition to significant contributions in consultancy for various international organizations, Catherine has been actively involved as a judge in innovation competitions. Catherine holds a PhD in Information and Development from Edinburgh Napier University and has completed executive education programs at Stanford University and the Yale School of Management.
