Carla Ventura

Carla Ventura has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Carla is currently working at iCapital as an Assistant Vice President for Platform Engineering. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Software Developer at the same company. Before joining iCapital, Carla worked as a Full Stack Developer at MULTIVISION - Consulting for two and a half years, where they gained experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and Nuxt. Carla also co-founded Magic Bit Solutions, where they held various roles including planning, management, UI/UX frontend development, and producing content for educational games. Carla's technical skills include PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Vue.js, Git, Laravel, WordPress, Visual Studio Code. Prior to their career in the IT industry, Carla worked as a Customer Service Representative at Teleperformance Portugal and as an IT Teacher at Ministério da Educação - DGRHE. Carla also freelanced as an IT trainer and web developer. Carla started their career with an informatics internship at ACBIS.

Carla Ventura's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Bacharel degree in Informática from the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda, which they attended from 1997 to 2003. Carla has also pursued various additional certifications, such as "8 Git Commands You Should Know" from LinkedIn in July 2023, "React Hooks" from LinkedIn in July 2022, "Ruby on Rails 6 Essential Training" from LinkedIn in May 2022, and "Learning React.js" from LinkedIn in December 2021. In November 2021, they obtained certifications in "Cidadão Ciberseguro" and "RGPD para Cidadãos Atentos" from the Plataforma NAU, as well as "Ruby on Rails 6 Essential Training: Models and Associations" from LinkedIn. Before that, they completed the "Learn Ruby Course" from Codecademy in October 2021. Carla also pursued courses in "Learn Node.js" from Codecademy in April 2019 and "Learn Vue.js" from Codecademy in February 2019. Lastly, they obtained the "EIA Alumni" certification from the European Innovation Academy in July 2017.
