Wong Weng Wai has a diverse work experience spanning various marketing roles and business development. Wong began their career in 2011 as an intern at Auto Discounts Sdn. Bhd., where they gained experience in sales, IT, and administration. In 2012, they were promoted to a Business Development Executive, where they managed sales support operations and oversaw the recruitment and training of sales personnel.

In the same year, Wong joined iCar Asia Limited as a Marketing Executive, where they assisted the marketing manager in developing materials and managing external communications programs. Wong then advanced to the role of Senior Marketing Executive - Trade Marketing, responsible for implementing and executing iCar Asia's trade marketing strategy. In this role, they developed marketing collateral, maintained client contact lists, and fostered strategic partnerships.

In 2015, Wong joined Grab as an Assistant Marketing Manager, gaining experience in the ride-hailing industry. Wong later joined iCar Asia (Powered by CARSOME) in 2016 as a Marketing Manager, where they developed and implemented strategic marketing activities to increase traffic, leads, and listings on iCar Asia's assets in Malaysia. Recently, Wong has taken on the position of Head of Marketing at iCar Asia (Powered by CARSOME), further demonstrating their expertise and progression in the marketing field.

Wong Weng Wai began their education at SJK (C) Puay Chai, Petaling Jaya from 1997 to 2002. Wong then attended SMK Sultan Abdul Samad in Petaling Jaya from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. After completing high school, Wong Weng Wai went on to pursue a Foundation in Science at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) from 2008 to 2009. Later, they continued their studies at UTAR and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Wong Weng Wai also obtained a UTAR Soft Skills Development Certificate (Merit) from the Department of Soft Skills Competency at UTAR in August 2012.
