Javier Cabrera

Javier Cabrera has a strong background in technology leadership and management. Javier is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at ABA Centers of America and assumed the role in August 2021. Prior to this, Javier worked as the Chief Technology Officer at ICBD Holdings LLC, where they implemented business intelligence and data governance practices, as well as agile and DevOps practices across multiple domains.

In 2018, they held the position of Director of Program Technologies at Vista Higher Learning, where they supported the acquisition of Santillana USA Publishing and led the adoption of interoperability standards. During this time, Javier also played a key role in securing a major contract with the Chicago Public School for the implementation of an innovative personalized learning solution.

Before joining Vista Higher Learning, Javier served as the Chief Technology Officer at Santillana USA, where they made significant contributions to the K-12 education sector through the development of interoperable and plug-and-play solutions. Javier led multinational engineering teams and successfully secured numerous educational adoptions, including a majority of Florida school districts and private schools.

Javier's early career includes a role as IT Director at IDOM, where they managed various projects involving BPO and cloud transformation. Javier also led a technical team and oversaw IT support and governance operations for a large user base.

Javier Cabrera's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana "José Antonio Echeverría"​, CUJAE. Javier also holds a Master of Business Administration in IT Management from IE Business School. In addition to their formal education, Javier has obtained several certifications, including Scaled Scrum Master Certified (SSMC), Scaled Scrum Product Owner Certified (SSPOC), Scrum Master Certified (SMC), Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC), ITIL Expert Managing Across the Lifecycle (ITIL-MALC), ITIL Continual Service Improvement (ITIL-CSI), ITIL Service Transition (ITIL-ST), and ITIL Service Design (ITIL-SD).
