Boris Kogan

Boris Kogan is the VP of Legal at Ellie Mae. Boris has over 10 years of experience working in corporate law, with a focus on emerging growth companies, venture capital financings, securities transactions, initial public offerings, and M&A. Boris began their career as a summer associate at Cooley LLP before becoming an associate attorney and then senior corporate counsel and corporate secretary at Hansen Medical. In their current role at Ellie Mae, Boris is responsible for all matters of corporate law and assists with commercial contracts, licensing agreements, patent and trademark prosecution, litigation, healthcare law compliance, human resources, and regulatory compliance. Boris advises senior management and the board of directors on matters involving corporate governance, securities regulation, and risk management.

Boris Kogan has a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a B.A. and B.S. in Political Science and Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis. Boris also has certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US).
