Ronan mac Laverty

Ronan Mac Laverty is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Director of Cloud and Common Services at ICEYE since October 2024. Prior to this, Ronan held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at Smartly.io, where oversight was provided to teams focused on infrastructure services for a SaaS company. Ronan's extensive career includes over a decade at Varian in various leadership roles, including Director and Senior Manager of Platform Development, where Ronan managed teams across multiple regions to enhance cloud and on-premise platforms for key software products. Earlier positions include significant contributions at Nokia and GE Healthcare, covering software engineering, product ownership, and architectural leadership. Ronan holds a Master of Business Administration from Laurea University of Applied Sciences, a Master of Science in Room Acoustics from Trinity College Dublin, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Queen's University Belfast.
