Simone Baxter

Simone Baxter has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles in finance and accounting. Simone is currently serving as the Head of Finance APAC at ICG Medical since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Startup Contributor at VoltaRocks starting from January 2023.

Before joining VoltaRocks, Simone held a position as a Business Financial Advisor at SPEE3D from February 2021 onwards. Simone also served as the Head of Finance and Company Secretary at CredShare from November 2021 to December 2022.

Simone has a strong background in financial management, as evidenced by their role as CFO at SPEE3D from June 2017 to September 2020. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Regal Beloit Corporation, where they held various positions including Group Financial Controller for South East Asia Pacific and Financial Controller for different regions within the company.

Simone's early career includes roles as a Project Systems Accountant at Echelon Consulting, Systems Accountant at Laminex Australia, and Cost Accountant at Laminex Australia. Simone began their professional journey as an Assistant Management Accountant at Homfray/Hycraft Carpets.

Simone Baxter completed the CPA Australia Program in 2008, obtaining a CPA degree. Before that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Monash University in 1997. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management at Swinburne University of Technology starting in 2021. Simone also attended Mt Eliza High School and Padua College Mornington, although specific degrees or fields of study were not indicated. In terms of additional certifications, Simone is an Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Certified Practicing Accountant through the CPA Australia Program, a Fellow Member of the Governance Institute of Australia, and holds a Lean 6 Sigma Certification from Regal Beloit Corporation.
