David Vankka

David Vankka is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in finance and investment management. Currently serving as President, Chief Financial Officer, and Portfolio Manager at ICM Asset Management Inc. since June 2017, Vankka oversees investment strategies in real assets for a diverse range of investors. Additionally, Vankka holds various leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer of ICM Investment Management Inc. and President & Chief Executive Officer of ICM Advantage Venture Capital Corporation. Vankka also contributes to the boards of several companies, including Orpyx® Medical Technologies Inc., Athennian, and PK Sound. Previously, Vankka worked as Managing Director in Energy Investment Banking at Canaccord Genuity and Dundee Securities Ltd. Vankka holds a CPA, CA designation and a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction from the University of Calgary.
