David Ortiz Lapaz

David Ortiz Lapaz has a diverse work experience in the fields of communications, marketing, and technology. David started their career in 2004 as an Editor at Meristation.com, where they gained experience in international videogame event coverage. In 2008, they worked as a Web Developer at nitsnets studios and then went on to co-found GameDixit S.L in 2009. At GameDixit, they served as the Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the development and management of the Godankey.com platform. David also held the role of Head of Communications & Product Marketing at Kano Computing from 2016 to 2019. In 2012, they joined NCSOFT as a Spanish Community Manager and later held positions as Senior Community Manager, Community Team Lead, and ArenaNet Communications Lead, Europe. Their most recent role was as the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) at ICO, where they led the communications department. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Operating Officer at ICO, responsible for overseeing the company's operations.

David Ortiz Lapaz attended the Universitat d'Alacant from 2002 to 2009, where they earned a degree in Computer Science. In 2006 to 2007, they also studied at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and obtained a certification in the Japanese official proficiency test, level 4. Additionally, in 2008 to 2009, David pursued a web 2.0 expert program at the Universitat d'Alacant, focusing on MySQL, PHP, Flash, Ajax, and Flex.
