Lars Costers has extensive work experience in the field of neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases. Lars held the position of Director of Clinical Applications at icometrix since January 2024. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Product Manager for icompanion from August 2020 to February 2024. Lars also pursued a PhD in Medical Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from July 2016 to March 2021. During their doctoral research, they focused on the neuroscience of cognitive impairment in neurodegenerative disease, specifically studying working memory impairment in multiple sclerosis. Additionally, Lars gained research experience as a Research Intern at University College London from September 2015 to March 2016, where they evaluated the efficacy of hyperoxia treatment on neurological dysfunction and structural damage in a rodent model of Multiple Sclerosis.
Lars Costers completed a Master's degree in Experimental & Theoretical Psychology with a specialization in Neuroscience from Ghent University between 2014 and 2016. In 2020, Lars also obtained a certification in "eHealth: More than just an electronic record" from the University of Sydney through Coursera.
