Michael Sethna (Mike)

Michael (Mike) Sethna has extensive work experience in the flooring industry. Michael (Mike) most recently worked at Iconex as the Director of Research & Development, starting in 2022. Before that, they were the R&D Engineering Lab Manager at Iconex from 2020 to 2022.

Prior to their time at Iconex, Sethna worked at Mohawk Industries for many years. Michael (Mike) held various roles, including Sr. Director R&D Flooring Innovation, where they were responsible for developing and commercializing new soft flooring technologies. Michael (Mike) also served as the Director of Manufacturing- Hospitality Division, Director of Technical Services Commercial Division, Site Manager, Manufacturing Manager, and Product Development-Pilot Plant Manager.

Sethna began their career at Burlington Industries as a Dyehouse Manager, where they managed production, safety, quality, and cost.

Throughout their career, Sethna has been involved in several key projects and initiatives, such as developing and launching industry's first 100% recyclable, hypoallergenic carpet called Air and upgrading equipment for improved production efficiency. Michael (Mike) has also focused on implementing safety measures and tracking CAPEX projects.

Michael Sethna attended North Carolina State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Chemistry with a specialization in Polymer Science. Michael (Mike)'sprimary field of study revolved around polymers and fibers.
