Jim Sorebo

Jim Sorebo has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry spanning over four decades. Jim is currently serving as the Chief Distribution Officer at iCover since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Highland Capital Brokerage from November 2018 to August 2022, holding the role of SVP - National Bank & Wire Business Development - Life, Annuity & LTC.

Before their time at Highland Capital Brokerage, Jim Sorebo founded and served as the President, CEO & Founder of Four Seasons Financial Group (FSFG) for 25 years, from September 1993 to November 2018. FSFG is a national wholesale firm that specializes in providing insurance products and related innovative value propositions through financial institutions, broker/dealers, and individual producers.

From May 1988 to September 1993, Jim Sorebo worked at United Pacific Life Insurance, where they held the positions of VP Mktg & Sales and President of a subsidiary. Jim was part of the Reliance Insurance Group and contributed to making UPL a market leader in providing fixed annuities to financial institutions.

Early in their career, Jim Sorebo worked at Securian Financial Group from June 1979 to April 1988 as a Regional Vice President. Jim successfully grew the regional sales operation in Michigan, improving its ranking from 22nd to 4th out of 26 offices within a span of five years.

Overall, Jim Sorebo has demonstrated leadership and expertise in various roles within the insurance industry, particularly in distribution, business development, and sales.

Jim Sorebo's education history includes a Masters Member in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from The Strategic Coach, where they studied from 2002 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Jim has also acquired additional certifications such as HPS GRAD from Heroic Public Speaking in March 2023, Sales: Closing Strategies from LinkedIn in July 2020, and Chartered Life Underwriter - CLU from The American College of Financial Services in January 1999.
