Aarti Reddy

Aarti Reddy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and analysis related to digital economics and informal employment. Currently serving as a Research Officer at WIEGO, Aarti coordinates research on the impact of digital labour platforms in the Global South. Previous roles include Research Fellow at ICRIER, where Aarti co-led studies on India's digital economy and the benefits of UPI in rural areas, and Consultant positions at IFC and The World Bank, contributing to impactful reports on the pandemic's effect on businesses and economic transformation. Aarti also has experience as an Independent Consultant for IRENA and in various research and analytical roles throughout academia and international organizations. Aarti holds a PhD in Development Economics from American University, alongside multiple degrees in Economics and Leadership Studies.
