Jouko Karhu

Jouko Karhu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jouko started as an intern and project manager at the City of Kajaani's IT Administration Services, where they were responsible for network cabling design and project management. Jouko then joined Netron oy as a project manager and site supervisor, handling sales, marketing, and delivery projects for ICT brands and products.

In 1999, Jouko moved to Oulu Telephone Company Ltd, where they served as a product group manager, overseeing product management and development of telecommunications products and services. Jouko later became a product manager, specializing in ICT hardware and software products, sales, and marketing.

As an entrepreneur, Jouko worked as a project and sales manager, marketing consultant, and solution/product seller, catering to mid-market, enterprise, and government customers both domestically and internationally. Afterward, they joined pk-otso as a business manager, entrepreneur, and partner, focusing on company development, sales, and marketing for the public/governmental sector.

Jouko then joined TOSIBOX as a product manager, handling product management and all Tosibox products while supporting sales, marketing, and logistics departments. Jouko provided pre-sales, sales support, and training for domestic and international customers and business partners.

In 2017, Jouko took on the role of a project manager at Oulun kaupunki - City of Oulu, specifically in welfare services. Jouko managed projects related to the city's welfare services.

Most recently, Jouko worked at Smartgroup as an organization manager, specializing in B2B solution sales, project management, and consultation. Jouko'sresponsibilities included managing and consulting on projects, as well as sales and marketing.

Currently, Jouko is serving as a customer success executive at ICT DIRECT, focusing on ensuring customer satisfaction and success for the company.

Jouko Karhu obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Oulu University of Applied Sciences in 2015. In 2017, they completed a Product Manager course in Health Technology at Esmo Oy. In 1993, they attended the Vocational School of Northern Ostrobothnia for Information Technology. The following year, they studied Microcomputer technics at OAKK Oulu (Adult Education Centre). In 1990, Karhu received a Vocational degree in Electrical/Electronics Equipment Installation and Repair, General from OAKK Oulu. Jouko served in the Finnish army as a second lieutenant in Military Engineering from 1988 to 1989. Karhu graduated from Toppila High School, Oulu in 1987. Jouko later obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computing from Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) in 1994. Currently, Karhu is pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Oulu.
