Kasey Reed

Kasey Reed, CISSP, GCIA, GCED, has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity, spanning over a decade. They are currently working as a Senior Security Engineer at ID.me since January 2023. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at OpenText, starting as a Cyber Defense Engineer from June 2012 to August 2014. They then transitioned to the role of Systems Engineer - Cryptography and Encryption Services from August 2014 to August 2015. Subsequently, they served as an Advanced Systems Engineer - Cryptography and Encryption Services from August 2015 to October 2017. During this time, Kasey was involved in PKI maintenance, encryption-at-rest implementation, and monitoring intrusion detection systems.

Before joining OpenText, Kasey worked at Walmart from June 2012 to January 2013 as an Advanced Systems Engineer - Cryptography and Encryption Services. Their responsibilities included PKI maintenance and support for infrastructure and software solutions.

Between January 2012 and May 2012, Kasey worked at HP as an Intrusion Analyst, where they investigated and resolved security incidents and performed analysis using SIEM technology.

From April 2011 to January 2012, Kasey worked at Motorola Solutions as a Level 2 HelpDesk Support Technician, providing technical support to customers and coordinating technical resources.

Prior to that, they worked at IBM from April 2009 to October 2009 as a Project Support Desk Technician, responsible for hardware installation and validation. They also served as a Help Desk Support Technician, Advanced Help Desk Support Technician, and Global Help Desk Training Support Technician during their tenure at IBM, where they provided technical support, resolved critical issues, and trained team members for Level 1 HelpDesk support role.

These certifications include CompTIA IT Operations Specialist, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Project+, EC-Council Certified Encryption Specialist v2, CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation in Service Level Management, GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). The GCED certification was earned in January 2014, the GCIA certification in October 2012, and the CISSP certification in November 2016. Other certifications were obtained between 2021 and 2022.
